Is there any way a person that is pregnant maintain a healthy diet so she won't gain to much weight? Some people gain a lot of weight during this time. Do women have to gain all the weight or can it be controlled in the right way?

There is a certain amount of weight that is recommended you gain depending on your prepregnancy weight. However, I can tell you that starting at 196lb, I only gained 14lb. That was gone within a week of the birth.

For the sake of your baby you need to eat healthy, but not aim to lose weight during this period.

It,depends, if your breast feeding then you should'nt really be thinking about dieting yet and instead watch what you eat and maintain a diet high in calcium.
Otherwise take it slow and don't go after those fad diets because any weight you loose I gaurantee you'll put back on just as quickly. remember you'll only loose weight if you burn more energy then you take in. Eat three meals a day that are rich in nutrients and low in fat. And if you want an exercise reigieme that means you can still spend time with the kids then why not get them involved too? obviously it depends on their ages but you could all go swimming together as a family or something. alternitively take half an hour each day to take a brisk walk around your naighbourhood

Generally the normal weight gain during pregnancy is about 22-30lbs. But it depends on your body structure.

Here is a pretty good article about weight loss after pregnancy. I hope it helps:

Well, most women are not working out properly after pregnancy. Many married women become too busy to take care of their life with her husband and children. Beside, they also need to work. These kind of reasons are usually preventing married women to get slimmer again.

A couple weeks after pregnancy, women can consult to a doctor what kind of exercise they can do or should not do. I suggest walking or jogging is the simplest exercise.

After exercise, you should control your diet. Start planning on your diet plan. Good Luck

A pregnant woman should not go on a diet in order to lose weight during prgnancy. The baby needs all the nutrients she can get from you from the food that you eat. It is understandable that you will gain weight during pregnancy because your baby has his/her own weight too. In order for yourself not to gain too much weight is to eat healthy like fruits and vegetables and more fluids. Stay away with junks, chocolates and soda.
